What Are Auger Cast-In-Place Piles?

Auger cast-in-place piles, also known as continuous flight auger (CFA) piles, are a deep foundation solution installed by drilling a hollow-stemmed auger into the ground to the required depth. As the auger is withdrawn, concrete or grout is pumped through the hollow stem, filling the void and forming a continuous pile. Reinforcement is then inserted into the fresh concrete to provide additional strength.
